ASP-SoftwareAdaptive filters are particularly appropriate in situations which usually result in the failure of traditional fixed coefficient filters. If it is possible that a system will change with time, or if certain aspects of a signal cannot be specified in advance, adaptive fllters are required. Adaptive filters benefit from an ability to learn the nature of the input signal so that the filter characteristics can be optimized. TWO SOFTWARE PACKAGES AVAILABLE
AFLAB Adaptive Filter Laboratory Software- No programming required- For the engineer to quickly determine which adaptive filters to use and optimize filter parameters- Works with signal files in either MathLab- or Spreadsheet format. Easy to use package. Just select the filter input file name anddefine a output filename. Use the extensive on-line help andmanual to select which filters are the most appropriate for thisapplication. Select the recommended filter type and adjust the filter parameters to the recommended initial settings. Then apply the signal to the filter and view the filtered results. Performance is easy to determine by viewing the graphs provided. Determine the effects of interferince by selecting and injecting various types of simulated inteference into the signal. If you have your own noise stored in a file you can use that as well! Once a filter is determined an application may be developed using the ASP software for LabVIEW programmers or other languages. ASP -Adaptive Signal Processing Software- Add - on adaptive filter library for LabVIEW- developers- Develop your own applications- Numerous examples with source code- Extensive manual. ASP is an advanced software packagee for Adaptive Signal Processing which was designed with the user in mind. A fast learning curve provides the new user with results quickly. The graphical user interface makes it easy to change filter parameters and assess the results. Start by examining the application examples which include: - Adaptive Noise Cancellation - AR Spectrum Estimation - Adaptive Self-Tuning Filtering The source code is included as a starting point for your own application. VIs include LMS (5
versions), GAL, RLS, FTF, FAEST and RLSL. Test your applications using the simulated signal
files. Cunsolt the comprehensive manual for a more indepth understanding of the filter
characteristics. |
